INTERNATIONAL CHILDREN'S FESTIVAL - ŠIBENIK

61st International Children's Festival Šibenik - Croatia
19th June
- 3rd July 2021

I believe Shakespeare when he says all the world’s a stage. Speaking of that world known to us as Theatrum mundi, there is a city in it that transforms into a stage for two weeks – metaphorically and for real. Needless to say, that city is Šibenik, which is conquered and ruled by the International Children’s Festival summer after summer.

There is a plethora of children’s festivals, but I am not aware of any festival that promotes children’s creativity as consistently as creativity FOR children. Streets and squares are overwhelmed by creative workshops, children’s drawings, street jugglers, performers, artists, murmur and rejoicing, and above all, children. In those two weeks of June, the whole city turns into a joyful and playful stage as well as an exuberant celebration of creativity of any kind, not just theatrical.

Every June Šibenik is a big stage. You can’t take a walk around Krešimir’s Town, regardless of how serious you are, without being attracted and sucked into the playfulness, happiness and enjoyment in the creativity that makes you become part of art, while sharing a smile with all those children.

So, enjoy the city of children’s creativity again this summer and join us in unrestrained joy, play and creative fun.

Welcome.
